Krivareka bridal costume from the village of Stracin, Kumanovo region
The Krivareka national dress is distributed among the settlements which are sited along the valley of the Kriva Reka from which it has taken its name. It extends a little to the left and right of the river. This costume is distinguished by its rich and elegant, embroidered ornamentation in geometrical forms, thunderbolts and various types of zig-zag as well as its color harmony in which red and black are predominant. The embroidery is thick — close work.
