Notes: Restaurant.
"The Restaurant" was one of eight Cubo-Futurist works which Nadezhda Udaltsova showed at the "Tramway V" exhibition held in Petrograd in 1915. It embodied her memories of the cafes, fashions, and life of Paris where she studied with her friend Lyubov Popova in 1912-1913. While in Paris, Udaltsova was exposed to the work of numerous artists and attended the Acad?mie 'La Palette' where she worked under the avant-garde painters Le Fauconnier, Metzinger, and de Segonzac, best known for their Cubist works.
