Prepositional case. Singular and plural adjectives
Singular adjectives
- Adjectives in the prepositional case have a two-letter ending both in the singular and in the plural.
- You should keep in mind the appropriate Spelling rules as you decide which ending to use.
- Masculine and neuter adjectives with a hard stem will take the ending -ом.
- Masculine and neuter adjectives with a soft stem will take the ending -ем.
- Masculine and neuter adjectives that end in a spelling rule problem letter will also take the ending -ем.
- Feminine adjectives with a hard stem will take the ending -ой.
- Feminine adjectives with a soft stem will take the ending -ей.
- Feminine adjectives that end in a spelling rule problem letter will also take the ending -ей.
Plural adjectives
- Plural adjectives with a hard stem will take the ending -ых.
- Plural adjectives with a soft stem will take the ending -их.
- Plural adjectives that end in a spelling rule problem letter will also take the ending -их.
