Expressing Resebmlance
- Russian uses the word похож, похожа, похожи to express resemblence.
- The person who resembles (looks like) someone else is the subject of the sentence.
- You use a form of похож to match the gender and number of the subject.
- The second person in the resemblance is in the accusative case.
Брат похож на сестру.
- Recall that masculine animate nouns in the accusative take the same endings as in the genitive.
Сестра похожа на брата.
